Hi!

My name is Pietro Genova Gaia.
Yes. It is my real name. Fun fact. It was already written in my name that I should have been born in Genoa, Italy. Birthplace of Paganini.

So I couldn't help but become a professional classical  violinist! 🎻

My Story

I grew up in Genova, Italy, the birthplace of Paganini where I spent most of my life learning the old traditions of classical music making and evenings watching some of the best Operas and Symphony Concerts in Italy.

I am very grateful that I received a so-called 'old school' education, so I was able to learn how to play the violin inspired by tradition without losing touch with today's reality. I have always had a passion for the study of ancient culture; in fact, I attended a high school where I learnt to translate from Latin and Greek, studying ancient cultures and their traditions. At the same time, I went to the conservatory every day to study music history, composition, violin and piano. I graduated from the conservatory at the age of 18, making great masterpieces such as the Brahms Concerto, Paganini's 24 Capricci, Mozart's Concerto No. 4, ancient sonatas and modern sonatas. I then started my university career by doing a bachelor's degree in Political Science and International Relationships, a passion that I always wanted to cultivate and that allowed me to have many contacts in the university world and to have a broader view of the world including classical music. I worked as a violin teacher and concert artist for 4 years, touring Europe and Italy performing in many internationally renowned halls. I then decided to audition at the Royal College of Music in London, inspired by the prestige and fame of Itzhak Rashkovsky. So I won the audition and started my Master Degree with this great professor, finishing my studies in July 2022. In November 2021, I started my career as an entrepreneur and manager, creating together with my colleague José Songel, a graduate pianist artist at the Guildhall School, a successful events planning agency by starting a concert season for young talent. Transforming an intimate and unused 140-seat auditorium in Hampstead, London, into one of the most attractive venues for young talent looking to launch their careers. A project that led me to be the winner of the RCM Accelerate scholarship and thus supported by the Institute. I have worked as an Event planner with Universities such as ESCP and Royal College of Music, and also Institutions such as Cavatina Chamber music trust.

Today I am based in London, teaching, performing in public and private concerts, organising events with my agency, connecting people and loving culture.
